This Senior HRBP Program Manager role is part of Atlassian’s People Programs team, aligned to the work of the HR Business Partners. The role will work in partnership with our HR Business Partners that support the General and Admin (People, Finance and Legal) and ACE (Atlassian Corporate Engineering) teams.

Responsibilities

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

  • Deliver Strategic People Programs: Lead the end‑to‑end delivery of People programs, from targeted interventions with specific teams or manager cohorts through to large, function‑wide change initiatives, ensuring clear objectives, strong execution, and measurable impact.

  • Optimize Processes: Simplify and standardise HRBP‑related processes and workflows to improve efficiency, reduce friction, and enhance the employee and manager experience.

  • Leverage Data & Insights: Use quantitative and qualitative data to identify trends, prioritise work, measure program effectiveness, and recommend data‑driven actions to HRBPs and business leaders.

  • Influence Stakeholders: Build strong, trusted partnerships with HRBPs, G&A and ACE leaders, and cross‑functional partners to align priorities, gain buy‑in, and drive adoption of HR initiatives.

  • Enable HRBPs: Design and deliver training, tools, and resources that deepen HRBPs’ business acumen and capability, enabling them to provide high‑impact, consistent support to leaders and teams.

  • Develop HRBP Programs: Create and continuously improve scalable playbooks, frameworks, and programs that elevate the overall impact, consistency, and maturity of the HR Business Partner function.

The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in HR program management across multiple specialities, deep understanding of the HRBP role, experience in large international organisations, and a passion for driving business success through effective HR and change management pract

Qualifications

  • 10+ years of program management experience, including 4–5 years leading HR programs

  • Strong program management skills, with the ability to plan and prioritise multiple complex initiatives

  • Proven change management experience across cross‑functional or global programs

  • Experience managing risks and dependencies in complex, cross‑team environments

  • Ability to independently manage and influence multiple stakeholder groups

  • Demonstrated track record of driving process improvements and optimisations, including use of AI tools

  • Delivery‑focused, with strong analytical and problem‑solving skills

  • High attention to detail and accuracy in program design, implementation, and documentation

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills for diverse and senior audiences

  • Prior experience with Jira and Confluence (or similar tools) preferred
