Responsibilities

About the Role:

We're looking for a Senior Engineering Manager to lead a team of 12-15 engineers. As a Senior Engineering Manager in the Cloud Transition team, you will help facilitate the seamless transition of customers from on-premises solutions to cloud-based platforms.

You will lead a team of engineers working on a new recently announced product which aims to simplify the process of understanding and managing large, complex Atlassian deployments across Datacenter and Cloud for our biggest enterprise customers. You will report directly to the Senior Engineering Manager based in the Netherlands. The role is 100% remote in Poland.

What You'll Do:

  • Team Leadership: Manage a team of engineers focused on developing cloud transition solutions. You'll guide the team in building effective migration tools and processes.

  • Interdisciplinary Collaboration: Work with product managers, designers, and architects to ensure projects align with team goals and deliver quality outcomes for our customers.

  • Customer Focus: Develop solutions that address customer needs during their migration to cloud services, ensuring a smooth transition.

  • Operational Improvement: Implement practices that enhance the reliability and efficiency of our cloud services, focusing on improving incident response and service deployment.

  • Strategic Contribution: Participate in setting the strategic direction for the cloud transition team, aligning with broader organisational goals to lead cloud adoption.

  • Mentorship and Development: Foster a supportive environment for your team, providing guidance and opportunities for professional growth.

Qualifications

Your Background

  • 4+ years of experience managing engineering teams of >10 engineers.

  • Coding experience.

  • Experience leading complex Cloud projects and delivering modern solutions.

  • Experience with cloud technologies and patterns.

  • Collaborative and inclusive leadership style that empowers engineers to excel and grow.

  • Experience aligning engineering efforts with product management, design, and architecture.

  • Customer-centric approach ensuring solutions meet the evolving needs of enterprise clients.
